Elaine is an end-of-life psychologist who offers support and reassurance to those nearing the end of their life, as well as to healthy individuals who are fearful of dying and death. Elaine is also a researcher, author and speaker. With over fifteen years of research behind her, Elaine is an expert in the field of exceptional human experiences (EHEs) including, by way of example, end-of-life visions and near-death experiences. Elaine incorporates her research insights into her unique and reassuring approach to easing end-of-life anxieties and bringing comfort to the bereaved. “I felt reassured that my angst about dying was not justified. Elaine exudes non-judgemental compassion and understanding and this makes deep, meaningful, communication with her very easy.” (Dave E.) The fear of dying is an integral part of being human, and few face the end of their life without some level of anxiety and uncertainty. The complexity of emotions faced by someone who is nearing the end-of-life can be challenging and each person’s needs are unique. Through her website and the information, audio programmes, publications and assistance she makes available to you, Elaine offers support to the dying and their loved ones and suggests a different, more comforting, perception of death. Elaine also engenders a sense of calm preparedness, comfort and safety, helping those at the end of their lives to leave this life more gently. As we age, even though we may be physically fit and well, we may become increasingly preoccupied with thoughts surrounding the end of our life and our mortality. Or we may lose a loved one and, in the midst of our bereavement, find ourselves overwhelmed with questions as to their continued well-being beyond this lifetime. These thoughts, questions and concerns interfere with our enjoyment of life and the capacity to live life to the full. Elaine’s approach addresses these issues and, in so doing, these uncertainties and concerns are replaced with reassurance and self-reliance, and a renewed zest for life. Elaine is the founder of the Transformative End-of-Life Experiences Research Foundation (TELERF). The research conducted by this foundation focuses on transformative end-of-life visions and experiences, near-death experiences, apparent after-death communication and the insights these experiences offer. TELERF also explores the revelations of those who remember having lived before. In conjunction with the research Elaine undertakes, Elaine also offers validation and support to those who have, or who witness, transformative end-of-life experiences such as deathbed visions and conversations. Elaine also assists those who have had an exceptional human experience, such as a near-death experience, shared-death experience or after-death communication, to authenticate and integrate their experience. Through her research, presentations, workshops, consulting work and writings, Elaine strives to engender an awareness of exceptional human experiences and the profound insights, and significant information, that they provide.
